Hello everyone,
So, it's the day after my first in person author event (the Literary Escape Festival in Bath), I'm exhausted but so, so happy. Yesterday was amazing. I got to meet so many other indie authors and lovely readers. I'd promised myself to temper my expectations as I'd never been to one of these events as a vendor and so I just wanted to make my table fee back. To do that I needed to sell 4 copies of my book.
I sold 11!
I got to introduce so many people to the world of The Balance Cycle. We played a game so people could find out which blessing they would be born with if they were in the world of my book. And I got to raise money for a good cause.
As well as the bookmarks and art cards that related to my books, I also made some watermelon themed bookmarks to help raise money for UN Crisis Relief - Occupied Palestinian Territory Humanitarian Fund. I sold ten of those bookmarks and raised £10.
I'm now even more excited for the Oxford leg of the Literary Escape Festival in October. Hope to see some of you there and make even more author and reader friends.
